In October 2025 I graduated from the Midwest Equine Dental Academy. I learned a ton about this section of equine husbandry and am so excited to be able to offer this service to my community.

During the three week program, a group of 12 including myself saw hundreds of horses. Each group of two students saw around eight or more horses a day, this allowed us to experience a wide variety of horses and malocclusions, as well as learn how to properly reduce them to rebalance the mouth.

I use manual tools to provide through exams and floats for all varieties of equine. I do not sedate horses per the Michigan law. I work efficently and with the horse to keep stress levels low. I am willing to split up sessions or other tactics to work with the horse.

Horse's teeth are always erupting and are worn down as they chew. Many things can cause improper wear and affect your horses ability to masticate and digest food. Left untreated these malocclusions can affect your horses performance, ability to maintain weight and overall quality of life.

Many horses suffer from dental pain and you'd never know it. If you notice your horse dropping food, chewing at a strange angle, or struggling with the bit, just to name a few, they may benefit from a dental float!
